Brilliant day again – pitched perfectly and saw clear improvement in all students across the day. Great resource booklet too.
Daniel Ferrier
Head of English, Castell Alun High School

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the team for the training we've had the last two days. Yesterday in particular was outstanding and the pulls were really receptive and engaged. My department were really impressed and learnt a great deal also. We've already started to plan how we will use the techniques in the Oracy assessments that we are beginning to prepare for. It was absolutely smashing seeing the pupils develop throughout the day.  Those already confident improved their presentation and style and those who are usually too scared to answer any questions in class overcame their fears. I'm so proud of them but equally grateful for the support and guidance they were given. It'll be really interesting to see the pupils’ next lesson to get their feedback. Looking forward to next year already!

Fantastic session. Linked really well to the GCSE tasks. Built up really well.  Was impressed with the pupils and how their confidence grew throughout the day. A really approachable trainer style allowed the students to thrive. I like the way pupils were pushed out of their comfort zone.

Delivery was pitched suitably high for the class. Full of information that they found very useful – pupils were furiously and frantically jotting things down.
Huw Jones

Very engaging and positive. Easy manner helped the students feel safe and comfortable throughout so even quieter students were fully involved.
Nick Phillips
English Teacher, Monmouth Comprehensive School

Improved our relationships with the pupils because with an outside provider leading the workshop our pupils looked to us to give them support and to be their allies. Improved pupils’ confidence beyond what we usually see. Although our learners are happy to join in class discussions, they are often reluctant to get up to speak in front of an audience/their peers. All tasks were effectively well prepared for with note taking planning tasks and speaking frames. The day was vital for the well-being and personal development of many pupils because they shared stories and divulged information that they clearly needed to get out. It was a brilliant learning experience for staff and pupils. Thank you.
Sarah Cocchiara
Head of English, Newport High School

I am thrilled to pieces that you encouraged some very reticent but able pupils to talk in front of the class. The confidence you instilled in some of my students today was staggering. Pupils who won’t speak in class delivered a presentation and left the classroom with a smile on their faces and a spring in their step!
Claire Cluroe

A lively opening that immediately made the pupils feel comfortable. Interesting approach made light of worry so pupils were engaged. They completed speeches in the last session as confidence boosted. Excellent delivery by the trainer and excellent feedback given to the pupils.’

Sue Jones
Head of English, Ysgol Henry Richard

Incredibly useful and worthwhile! The trainer was excellent with the pupils, thoroughly engaging them in tasks and encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones. The course itself is full of relevant advice, presented in ‘bite size’ format, which helps pupils to understand and appreciate why communication skills are important. From an English Teacher perspective, it’s helped pupils to understand how to structure their presentations in a convincing way, and has re-enforced the importance of persuasive and descriptive devices.
Rhiannon Daniel
English Teacher, Ysgol Maes Y Gwendraeth

Instant rapport with our young people. Inspiring and challenging in a totally positive way. Thought provoking and practical with suggestions for follow-up activities in class for oral and written work. A hugely inspiring and successful day!

Fabulous! The pupils thoroughly enjoyed this experience, as did I. Two in particular were horrified at the thought of speaking in front of their peers. By the end of the day their peers had graded them at the top of the confidence scale. Please keep delivering Talk The Talk like this! Thank you.
